Just a late-night blogging of a beautiful print ad from 1953-54 for Ford Zephyr. Via Vintage Scans, where it’s lovingly presented with the tagline “Ford Zephyr: for the exceptionally well-dressed and positively fucksome bank robber.” Hat and suit by Ronald Paterson, a British fashion designer born in 1917 (and still alive today!) who later served as fashion consultant on such films as The Spy Who Loved Me. Another ad from the same campaign featured an elegant evening gown, also by Paterson (via 20th Century Ads).

Okay okay. I'm gonna stop being a total wuss and post here now, because [info]riachu64 's post was awesome and made me realize I, too, need to rep my OTP up in heeeere.

Soooo Koltira & Thassarian time, guys!
Nothing over PG-13 rating, I'd say... )

There's a bit of a debate going on in my server over which guild is #1 right now... I really wanted to see the opinions of unbiased sources. :)

1.) Which is the bigger accomplishment, server first heroic Anub25 kill (no tribute), or server first heroic Anub25 Tribute to Skill (25-45 attempts remaining) kill but NOT server first kill? Try to take into consideration the slightly random speed bump that is phase 3.

2.) Guild #1 has server first H. Anub 25 kill, no tribute. Guild #1 went back to Ulduar (after Anub kill) and farmed Ulduar 25 drakes and killed Algalon and earned Death's Demise. Guild #2 earned Server first Tribute to Mad Skill (45 or more attempts remaining), but has no Ulduar drakes, no Algalon kill, and no Yogg+0 kill. Which guild is #1?

Edit: This post was mostly just to see how you all keep track of progression in your minds, if at all. I was hoping it would spark discussion over which achievements/hard modes are impressive enough to be considered progression, whether or not the "attempts remaining" strategy by Blizzard is working, or whether the Algalon "time remaining" worked better, or neither are at all. I was just trying to give an example of how it gets really foggy to rank two guilds against each other in hopes that it would promote discussion. I really didn't mean it as an e-peen competition. The server "debate" was what sparked my interest so I figured I'd give the backstory of it. It's really just friendly competition in my mind, and in the end, no it doesn't matter who is first or second, because that is not how either of the guilds play the game. Both guilds are enjoying the race and pushing each other, and ultimately want to get the server recognized again for having premiere raiding guilds. This post is just purely me being curious about how YOUR minds work the rankings out, as opposed to Blizzard or Wowprogress. If you don't care about rankings, don't reply!

Here's two more drawings today. I couldn't resist drawing more Asric and Jadaar. I've been reading through their dialogue on wowhead and it's just... HERUGHH WHY ARE THEY SO AMAZING. There are no words...

Anyway, a prelim sketch of Jadaar under the cut, along with some man drae on man belf-neck action. It's not explicit, but I threw it under there just in case.

This is seriously my new favorite thing in the world. )
